Northern Beaches favourite Ruby Lane expands with Mona Vale outpost

Ruby Lane

The beaches welcomes a new ethical eatery.

Manly’s beloved café and grocer has expanded with an all-new outpost in Mona Vale. Feeding into the Northern Beaches health and wellness culture, Ruby Lane will offer an organic and sustainable menu year-round.

In true Northern Beaches style, the venue will offer casual all-day dining on a pop-in basis. From sandy beach-goers to the babycino brigade, everyone will have a place here.

Sustainability is at the heart of Ruby Lane, with a variety of programs and systems in place to ensure environmental accountability. From a dedicated composting system and wheat straws to BYO cup discounts and even a worm farm in the works, the venue is redefining what it means to be eco-friendly. Every last detail (right down to the materials used for the venue itself) have been designed with sustainability in mind, courtesy of architect Lucy Humphrey.

While great food is at the heart of what they do, Ruby Lane is also gearing up to host a series of workshops and feature dinners with local nutritionists and practitioners. These are designed to inspire the community and encourage everyone to get excited about leading a healthy lifestyle.

The dedicated menu includes all your favourite breakfast staples with a health slant: think buckwheat and chia seed pancakes, Mona smoothie bowl and the keto plate. The Beach Bun will undoubtedly be a hit – the venues own spin on the classic bacon and egg roll.

Ruby Lane Mona Vale will officially open on the 16th November, with a book-signing by Belinda Kirkpartrick (Naturopath, Nutritionist and Author of ‘Healthy Hormones’) along with live music, goodie bags and face paintings. The venue will also be planting a tree for every coffee sold on the day – a true commitment to their sustainability values.
