Matt Moran
Chef and delicious. Produce Awards judge
One of the busiest and most recognisable chefs in the Australian food industry, Matt finds time to judge the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards and create recipe features for us in between conquering the Sydney and Brisbane restaurant scenes with his acclaimed restaurants. Matt’s strong focus on local produce and seasonality is an important basis for the menus at all of his restaurants, with the menu at Sydney’s Chiswick and Chiswick at the Gallery both featuring kitchen gardens and even starring lamb shoulder from his own Moran Family Farm. This passion started at the age of 15 when Matt first started his chef’s apprenticeship at La Belle Helene in Sydney’s Roseville, and hit the big-time when he opened ARIA at Circular Quay in 1999.
