What are the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards?
Now in their 21st year, the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards are unique in that they not only celebrate the most outstanding food in Australia; they also shine a spotlight on those who so often go unnoticed – the dedicated, passionate and hardworking producers behind it. These are the true heroes of the Australian food industry – the farmers, fishers, growers and artisans who work tirelessly to put food on our plates every single day.

How do you decide who wins a Produce Award?
So what makes for award-winning food? Well, it has to taste amazing, obviously. But the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards also focus on how that food is produced. The very best food always comes from production practices that are ethical, sustainable and ever-mindful of the next generation.
Earlier in the year, top chefs convened at State Judging events around the country to taste, discuss and decide which producers would proceed through to the final round of National Judging. Finalists are named across four major categories – Dairy, Earth, Paddock and Sea, with all being in the running for a total of 10 awards in 2026.

This category encompasses the entire wonderful world of dairy, from cheese and cream to milk, butter, yoghurt and more cheese. Entries may be made from cow, sheep, goat or even buffalo or camel milk. But while cheese tends to dominate this category, it is by no means a guarantee of a win.
